Colorado citizens need a voice for the Moderate Majority. The State Legislature is dominated by extreme elements from both major parties because the party assembly and primary process is controlled by those narrow and extreme groups.
My Democrat opponent is part of that extreme element. Last year they tried to pass Proposition HH which would have taken away our TABOR refunds but was soundly defeated by a 20 point margin. This year it took two special legislative sessions and the threat of two ballot propositions to force the Democrat party controlled Legislature to give us some reasonable property tax reductions.
They are using their dominant position in the Legislature to foist upon us unreasonable elimination of local land use and housing density control. This will likely result in water use restrictions and higher costs and worse traffic congestion. Housing costs are sky-high because developers refuse to build condos due to the Construction Defects Law that only benefits the lawyers who contribute large amounts to the Democratic party office holders.
Jenny Willford, my Democrat opponent, has taken campaign contributions from 17 DIFFERENT LOBBYISTS. These lobbyists represent special interests that come before our legislature asking for money and favors that benefit them at the expense of regular taxpayers and citizens like you.
