Ranked Choice Voting ( RCV ) is used in several states, including Alaska, Utah, and Maine, and in several cities in Colorado for municipal elections, including Fort Collins and Boulder. Longmont will be voting soon on whether to add RCV to their municipal elections.

Proposition #310 in Colorado appeared on the state ballot in 2024 and narrowly lost. Supporters will try again to put it or a similar statute on the ballot.
