Radical changes in Law Enforcement in some cities, like defunding the police and eliminating bail, have opened the door to alarming increases in crime.
We should Maintain police funding, not reduce it.
We should NOT eliminate or change bail requirements, violent criminals need to be kept off the streets.
We can and should review police oversight and reform behavior where necessary.
We approve of Red Flag laws to take guns out of the hands of mentally ill people. Let’s review and strengthen the recently enacted Red flag law for Colorado.
We oppose SB21-273, proposed by Democrats, and opposed by Police organizations, because it would require more lenient bail.
