The Colorado Center Party Executive Committee has voted with at least a two thirds majority to either support or appose the follows ballot amendments or propostions:

No on Amendment 85
Plain Language Ballot Questions
The Colorado Center Party does not endorse Amendment 85 (Plain Ballot Titles). We absolutely stand for voter transparency in elections, but this initiative fails to identify the problem it solves. The language of the Amendment as written creates the potential for the substance of a a critical initiative to be confused in an attempt to fit a language restriction.

No on Proposition NN
Senate Bill 26-135 State Public K-12 Education Funding
The Center Party urges a NO vote on Proposition NN because it would dismantle the TABOR protections against tax increases and we have already had recent K-12 spending increases per pupil. K-12 education spending has already grown about 25% since 2021 even though enrollment has declined. We believe that reducing unnecessary administrative positions is a better solution to improve classroom teacher pay because too much of the NN money would go to “other programs targeting children”.

Yes on Proposition 134
Male and Female Participation in School Sports
Trans individuals deserve full support and inclusion, and any discussion about sports should honor their dignity. At the same time, going through male puberty can create lasting physical advantages that make competition in female categories feel unfair, hence require separation in competitive sports much like how weight classes keep sports balanced. This view aims to protect fairness while still fully affirming and respecting trans individuals.

No on Proposition 132
