The Center Party knows we should be helping local businesses, but under Governor Polis, that is not what has been happening in Colorado before the Tariffs. Small manufacturers received virtually no support from Colorado’s government. Colorado shouldn’t follow the path of high-cost states like California or Massachusetts. The latest Chamber of Commerce poll ranks Colorado No. 38 in cost of doing business, and two-thirds of business leaders believe the state’s economy is on the wrong track. Haphazard tariff increases can damage our manufacturers, so the Center Party advocates for a more balanced and strategic implementation than what we’ve been getting from the current administration, but let’s not excuse or hide the damage already done.
